What is ATI?
The American Technology Institute (ATI) is a nursing education company that provides informational and educational materials for prospective nurses. The company’s primary goal is to prepare students for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), which is a mandatory test for nursing students across the country. Prospective nurses must pass the NCLEX exam to begin their practice.
What is ATI testing?
Although ATI offers preparation materials for the NCLEX, it does not serve as a platform for the exam. However, ATI does serve as a platform for the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). The TEAS is a standardized, multiple-choice exam often required for admission into undergraduate healthcare programs. Prospective nursing students can register for and take the TEAS through ATI.
What skills does the TEAS assess?
The TEAS tests your abilities in four content areas: math, science, reading, and English and language use. Passing the TEAS demonstrates that you can problem-solve and think critically — this shows nursing programs that you have the skills necessary to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
How does ATI help students prepare for the TEAS?
As both the creator and writer of the TEAS, ATI is the ultimate resource for test preparation. ATI provides students with registration and testing information. It also offers recommendations and preparation materials. After you have taken the TEAS, you can use the platform to access your scores and transcripts.
