Student Engagement
Annual events
Welcome Week
Kick off each semester with food, music, games, and a chance to chat it up with reps from various Goodwin University student groups and Student Affairs staff. Welcome Week takes place during the first week of classes each semester.
Health & Wellness Fair
As part of an ongoing effort to educate, inform, inspire and motivate the Goodwin University community to adopt a healthy lifestyle, the Health and Wellness Fair features health and wellness information, resources and activities for everyone’s needs and interests. Meet and chat with health and wellness vendors, sample healthful treats, get a chair massage, participate in your very own sound healing session, win prizes and more!
MLB Bus Trip
Wear your gear to the game and bring the whole family out for a fun day of food on a rooftop deck and baseball.
NFL Bus Trip
Touchdown with us at MetLife Stadium and experience the excitement of tailgating, Jets football and a field experience with fellow Goodwin students, alumni and staff. Even if you’re not a football fan, it’s all about the experience. If you haven’t been yet, it’s a must!
NHL Bus Trip
Score a goal and break up your winter doldrums by joining us on our annual bus trip to a professional hockey game in New York City. If you have never experienced the excitement of a live hockey game, you are missing out!
Dragon Boat Race
Join our elite team of rowers and race with other community organizations at the Riverfront Dragon Boat and Asian Festival. In addition to the race, festival highlights include authentic Asian music and dance performances, food and merchandise vendors and more!
Refueling for Finals
We know that finals are a stressful time for students, especially when juggling all of their other responsibilities. As a way of putting a little pep into your finals week, we offer snacks and refreshments to help you fuel and refuel for your exams. Refueling for Finals typically takes place a week or two before finals week each semester.
Fresh Check Day
Coping with stress is important for everyone — especially when facing the responsibilities of college. Fresh Check Day is a chance for Goodwin University students to be educated on reducing the stigma around mental health issues, access helpful resources and learn positive coping techniques in fun, safe and creative setting.
Cultural & Heritage Celebrations
We strive to create a campus community where students feel included and successful, see their cultural heritages celebrated, and learn about new cultures and unique traditions. From cultural music and entertainment to food and drinks to discussions and dialogues, our cultural events are both fun and educational and held throughout the year.
It doesn't stop there! The Office of Student Engagement hosts a variety of other programs throughout the year. Keep an eye out in your Goodwin University email inbox for additional information.
