Terrence Simon is a full time professor, management consultant, author, educator, and researcher whose experience spans a broad spectrum of disciplines where he held key management positions. He advises small business owners in tax planning, business development, and strategy. Terrence Simon teaches courses in management, economics, taxation, and finance. Additionally, he is a qualitative methodologist, peer reviewer, and mentor to doctoral learners focusing on qualitative research design.

He is a board member for several not-for-profit organizations in the Greater New York City Area and an active member of the Academy of Management (AOM) serving in the following divisions and interest groups: Business Policy and Strategy, Management Consulting, Management Education and Development, Research Methods, and Management Spirituality & Religion. He is also a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and is affiliated with the Hartford Chapter.

His areas of interest and research are taxation and finance, corporate governance, and the impact of training on managerial efficacy.
