Human Services Degree Programs
Make a positive impact with a degree in human services
Are you someone who is always willing to offer a helping hand? Do you have great active listening skills? If you answered ‘yes’, a career in Human Services could be a great fit for you!
At Goodwin University, earning your degree in Human Services can set you on a path to changing lives in your community. Our Human Services degree programs are designed to help you improve the quality of life for individuals under your care — including toddlers, adolescents, adults, and senior citizens.
Earn your Human Services degree one of two ways
Both our bachelor’s and associate degree programs will provide you with the necessary skills to work as a skilled human services professional. However, the length and type of program you pursue will make a difference in the career options available to you after graduation.
With an associate degree in Human Services, you’ll build on the core competencies that human services employers are looking for, including performing intakes and assessments, conducting interviews and counseling, and understanding individual and group psychology. You’ll use these concepts to help others overcome challenges and obstacles in their lives, meaning you’ll make a real difference in your community. Upon graduating, you’ll be prepared to enter a number of careers in the field of human services, including case management, counseling, and more.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Services will give you access to more opportunities in the field. A four-year degree program will expose you to the in-depth concepts involved in human services, making you eligible for more advanced positions such as probation officers and mental health advocates.
