Marketing and Communications Request Form Frequently Asked Questions
Marketing and Communications is responsible for supporting the needs of Goodwin University and University of Bridgeport. Our services are used to advance and reinforce the branding, recruitment, and retention goals of the institutions.
All requests are subject to review. We reserve the right to accept, alter, or deny requests based upon the scope, strategic impact, timing, and staff resources.
Marketing and Communications will send you an email acknowledging your request once we have reviewed your submission. We will let you know which member of our team will be working on your project and whether we need any additional information.
For requests with specific copy needs, we ask that you provide us with a file containing the final copy. For requests requiring our assistance on the written copy, we follow our internal proofing process, which allows for up to two rounds of revisions before final approval.
If you are providing photos or artwork, provide the file(s) separately in high-resolution format. We cannot accept files embedded within a document.
You have the option of including attachments with your request. Files must be uploaded all at once. There is a maximum file size of 10 MB.
If you can't include your attachments with your initial request, you can "reply all" to our acknowledgment email and provide your files as attachments to your reply message.
For printed items or signage, plan for an additional 7 to 10 business days after our proofing process period to accommodate the timeline of our preferred vendors. Extra time may be needed if using alternate vendors.
If you provide the final written copy with no necessary revisions, expect your project to be finalized within 48 to 72 hours of our acknowledgment email. Lead times are subject to change based on the volume of requests our department receives.
Graphic design requests vary widely depending on the scope of your project. Our professional graphic designers work on multiple projects at any given time and want to dedicate their full attention to your project and others.
Projects such as a flyer, slide, or simple display will take approximately 5 to 7 business days. Complex projects such as programs, invitations, and branded projects will take approximately 10 to 15 business days. We follow our internal proofing process, which allows for up to two rounds of revisions before final approval.
Last-minute social media requests are more difficult for us to accommodate than if we can coordinate ahead of time to include the post in our social media calendar. For general information posts and event publicity, expect a lead time of at least 48 to 72 hours. Our social media team will work with you to plan a social media posting. The earlier you submit your request, the better we can promote your event through our social media channels.
Our social media team will determine the best possible timing and location of your social media request based on their expertise and the details of your request.
The timeline for web updates varies depending on the scope of your project. For simple updates/edits, expect your project to take approximately 48 to 72 from receipt of our acknowledgment email. More detailed web edits/updates can take approximately 3-5 business days. If you need a new page added to the website, our team will work to determine a timeline for your project after reviewing the details of your request.
For events involving multiple team members, please budget a minimum of 60 days for the planning and execution. We will consult with you and provide you with an event-specific schedule that outlines all the requirements for coordinating with our department.
If you need your request addressed sooner than you believe we can accommodate, we ask that you submit a request anyway before taking on the project yourself. We will work with you to meet your needs as best we can, depending on the scope and timing of your project and our staff resources.
