Vinod Dhar is a professor in the in the School of Nursing and Health Professions, which she has been part of for Seventeen years. She has a Ph.D. in Chemistry. Prior to teaching at Goodwin University, she spent several years teaching and researching In India and at the University of Melbourne and RMIT, both in Australia. Additionally, she did research at the University of Connecticut.

Eager to return to teaching, Vinod responded to a newspaper ad drawing her to the faculty at Goodwin University. The moment she stepped onto campus, she said, she knew she had reached her destination, and has been very happy here since.

For Vinod, Goodwin is much more than just a workplace. She says Goodwin has an amazing administration and dedicated Faculty members and of course we would be incomplete without our wonderful student population who help to create an environment that is friendly, inviting and in many ways a family.

"It makes me feel so special and I’m honored to be a part of this amazing Goodwin community and I cannot see myself being anywhere else." working at Goodwin has taught me to be a better human being and power of giving back to Community for greater good. Outside of the class room, Vinod remains active in the Goodwin community as a member of several committees and serves as curriculum director for chemistry. Developed OER for CHEM101 and has been teaching since Fall 2020. Using UDL in OER class room elevated teaching Chemistry to other level.
