ENG 090, ENG 095, ENG 101, and ENG 102

I have taught all grade levels from pre-school through graduate school and have focused on teaching reading and writing. With nearly twenty years in elementary education, I have worked in teaching fundamental literacy skills.

I have taught at community colleges in Connecticut and Massachusetts. I have worked with students in both ESL and Foundational English classes.

My research interests lie in expanding my understanding of acquiring a second language such as English so as to assist ESL students in learning the academic language and vocabulary associated with the college classroom. Teaching students study skills that allow them to comprehend content area material and learn effectively and efficiently is also of great interest to me.

At Goodwin University, I look forward to working with my colleagues in providing students the tools for success and working with students to acquire those tools that they will not only use in other classes but for a lifetime.
