The Connecticut River Academy at Goodwin College is an early college magnet high school like no other in the state!
At the CT River Academy, we strive to graduate each of our scholars with the confidence and competence required to use their gifts to engage in a successful future. As an early college high school on Goodwin College’s campus in East Hartford, nestled along the banks of the historic Connecticut River, CTRA is preparing the minds of the future to contribute to a just and sustainable world.
See what makes CTRA students so special:
Unlike many other state magnet high schools, Academy students have the opportunity to take 30 tuition-free, transferable college credits at Goodwin College while still in high school. Students will have access to cutting edge technologies in our professional-level lab spaces. Learning at the Academy is project based and tied to real-world skills, including joint programs with many institutions throughout the area and across the state. Students can take advantage of additional Academy opportunities including, extended-day and summer programs.
Transportation for enrolled students is provided for Greater Hartford residents.
