Burd Overton Scholarship

Created by Peter and Susan Klock

The Burd Overton Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 by Peter and Susan Klock in memory of their mothers, both of whom were acclaimed educators with singular devotion to the field of education.

Datanomix Scholarship

Established in 2021 for Manufacturing students and they must be registered for the fall semester at Goodwin University.

Finish Line Fund Scholarship

Funded by the Goodwin Foundation

Established in 2017, these scholarships are awarded to qualifying students with 16 credits or less remaining before graduation.
Scholarship amount: varies based on individual student need

Selection Criteria:

• 16 credits or less remaining in an associate or bachelor’s degree program
• Academic advisor signature required to confirm credits remaining
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

These scholarships are awarded to students as early as their 2nd semester with the intention of offering support throughout their educational journey.

Martin “Marty” K. Shea Memorial Scholarship Fund

Funded by Friends of Marty Shea

Established in 2025, the Martin “Marty” Shea Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of a longtime Goodwin University trustee, board member, and donor. A Manchester, Connecticut native and passionate advocate for the University’s mission, Marty served in key leadership roles on the Board of Trustees and the Goodwin Foundation. He also co-chaired the Annual Golf Tournament, helping to raise more than $1 million in scholarship funds for hardworking students. Each spring, the Marty Shea Memorial Scholarship Fund awards $1,000 to an enrolled Goodwin student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, continuing Marty’s enduring commitment to student success.
